Text "=SMTP:" appended to email addresses

Not sure if this is a server or an Outlook issue, so please bear with me if
in wrong place!

I've got one user (Outlook 2007) who is finding that when she replies to an
email, the text "=SMTP:" is appended to the front of the destination email
address, which renders the email undeliverable.

? Any ideas ?

Is this for all messages or just certain ones? What type of account?

Thanks for your reply. I have fixed the problem, and you were thinking
along the right lines. Yesterday I was accessing the user's mailbox
remotely, but today I am on-site and immediately saw that the user had no
less than five email accounts set up - four of them POP3 accounts with
various ISP servers (!) and one with our Exchange server (which wasn't even
the default!). After I deleted all the junk, Outlook then threw an error
whilst trying to send. Googling suggested deleting the Auto-Complete Email
Address Cache, and now all is well.

Thanks again for your attention!

You're welcome. I'm glad you sorted it out.
