text in text box

After I create a text box and start typing, I cannot see the text until I
click off of the text box. Also, when I delete, the characters do not
dissappear until I click off of the text box.

It's always a good idea to start by mentioning the version of PowerPoint
you're using.

But most problems with text in text boxes seem to stem from printer driver
problems. Really. Look at this face ... would I lie to you about this?
;-)

Seriously, printer drivers can cause PPT all kinds of grief, and when it
feels pain, it loves to share with you.

Thanks for your comments. I have two HP LaserJet printers and their drivers that I have used for sometime. The problem just started a couple of days ago. Are there other issues that might cause this?

You're right -- I did forget to list the version. It is Powerpoint 2007.
