Text Help Needed

I am creating a PowerPoint uning 2007, but I am required to convert it to
97-03 format for my college class. I had no trouble saving it that way, but
sent it to my desk top which has the 2003 version so I could make sure it
looked okay in that format and the text is gone. So I sent it to a few
friends and they can't see the text either. The pics and graphics are all
there, but no text. What am I doing wrong? This is my first PowerPoint so I
don't know if i am saving it wrong or what. Any help would be greatly
appreciated! Thanks!

If you click where the text should be, can you find a text box then? I've
seen cases where the different color schemes of the two versions caused the
text to appear in background color and thus invisible.

Which font did you use? Is it installed on the 2003 computer?

I've run into similar issues myself, with some text not appearing in
outline view.

Does the show look okay when run as a slide show as opposed to viewing
in normal mode, in PPT2003?

Does text appear in the slide preview pane?

What I've run into, when going back and forth between 2007 and 2003,
is that with text that is entered into "text and content" placeholder
in 2007 and saved as 2003 (compatability mode), that text does not
appear in outline view in 2003 and earlier versions. It still appears
in the preview pane and in slide sorter view, and the show looks okay
when run. To get around that, I create a layout using the "text" only
placeholder. (actually, any of the other placeholders also work)

Now, I'm assuming the text has been entered in placeholders. If the
text has been put into text boxes added to each slide, I'm not sure
what the result would be.
