I'm new to word 2010. Can someone help as to how to insert a Text
Form Field? And also how to unshade it. Thanks in advance!!!

First you must enable the Developer tab of the Ribbon. Do this by checking
the box for that tab at File | Options | Customize Ribbon.

Then select the Developer tab. In the Controls group, the bottom right
button is Legacy Controls. When you open that, you'll see Legacy Forms. You
can use the Text Form Field button to insert a Text Form Field and the Form
Field Shading button to control the shading.

Note that this palette does not include the Lock/Unlock button to
protect/unprotect the form. You can use Protect | Restrict Editing to open
the task pane that allows you to protect the document for forms, but unless
you need to protect specific sections, you may want to add the Lock/Unlock
button to the QAT. To do this, use File | Options | Quick Access Toolbar.
Under Commands Not in the Ribbon, look for the Lock command (with the
padlock icon), select it, and click Add.
