Text form field and helps

I am setting up a form by inserting text form fields. Is there a way to note
what is supposed to be entered in the space? I want in the shaded box for it
to read "Name of Guarantor" for example. Anything close to this possible? I
tried following the help suggestions, couldn't make anything work.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry, I figured out how to do what help was telling me, but I don't want to
leave the form locked, and the helps shown in the status bar or by pushing F1
don't show unless the lock is on.

Any ideas?

Form fields aren't supposed to work unless you lock the form. Putting form
fields in a document and then not locking it is akin to putting fuel in your
automobile and then leaving the keys on the kitchen table. :)

You can put your explanatory text into the "Default text" box in the field's
Properties dialog, and it will show in the field whether or not the form is
locked.

A better solution, though, is to program a userform
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Userforms/CreateAUserForm.htm) to collect the
information and then stuff it into the (non-form) document. The userform can
have as much explanation as you like, and the document will never be locked.
