Text effect questions and a music question.

What is the best animation effects to look as if the words or letters are doing the following to appear on a slide: Shooting, slashed or cut to reveal and/or fall in, and stabbed in. (I mean for these to be separate, not animated together) If you haven't noticed, my presentation is going to be about a video game. = ] This is for school, but I'm one of those perfectionist people, so I have to wow them. Also, there was an animation effect that I had in mind that was on an earlier version of PowerPoint, but it seems it does not exist anymore. I think it was either called typerwriter or laser..the letters shot quickly on the slide with a "petwu" kind of sound accompaning each letter. Is there a way to find and put that on my presentation? Also, what is the best way to have a music file play through the entire presentation? I'm actually wanting to make the presentation just as long as the music file, but I am also having a video (which doesn't play in powerpoint at all) play after the presentation. (I hope I can make the vid start playing manually, so it will be after the music..)

What version of PowerPoint do you have, Zye?
Depending on your version, the animation
effects available to you will differ.

About your animations, rather than asking us
what "looks good," I would say one thing:

Experimentation is your Friend.

If you have PPT 2002 or 2003, you should be
able to preview the animations as you apply them.
The best musicians, artists, and writers don't ask
people what "looks good." They just do it themselves,
and THEN they get feedback (or ignore the feedback,
if it suits them).
We can't give you advice on what "looks good,"
because everybody's tastes are different. Just try it
out yourself, and have fun with it. I'm sure you'll find
what you're looking for.
