text area word wrap

I have inserted a text area into a Word document from the Web Tools Toolbar.
If you right-click on the text area and select properties, there is a space
to enable or disable word wrap. My computer shows the default value for this
property to be "OFF". I've tried to change it to "ON" or "TRUE", but these
are "invalid property values". How do I force the text area to word wrap?

word.web.authoring newsgroup.
