Is it possible to install and run a Terminal Services
server on a Windows 2000 Professional machine?

No. Windows 2000 Pro doesn't have that ability. You
might want to try VNc, PCAnywhere, or NetMeeting instead.

No, you can only install the client on a W2K workstation.

connect remotely to a Windows 2000 Pro machine that is
acting as a "server" in a peer-to-peer network?

PCanywhere, VNC, NetMeeting would all do the trick.
