Temporary Internet files

After deleting temporary internet files (via
tools\internet options)I notice that I still have multiple
entries in the "temporary internet files" folder. The
entries are numbers, e.g. [1] [2] [3]----[n]. Checking
their properties shows them as having zero bytes. The
number "n" can become quite large depending how long it's
been since I last manually deleted them. Anyone know what
creates/causes them and how to prevent them? TIA.

Hi,
These are created when you open messages in Outlook Express. When you clear
the cache from Internet Options> General, check the box "Delete all offline
content."
