temporary internet files

S

sali

seen few times word offering to save into "temporary internet files folder"!
user usualy is not aware that doc will be lost after next cleaning.

scenario:
user opens word doc from mail attachment, read it, change it, and save.
word usualy offers just a file name, real location [temp internet folder
name] is not so obvious.

of course, user is responsable for whole cycle, but is it possible to make
their life easier, not to lost docs by such a stupid way?

is it possible to forbidden word not to save any doc into temp internet
folder?

any advice? thnx.

[not sure is this the best newsgruop for thid question, but there is no
"word.general" group]

User training to always save the attachment first is the only way around
this. They don't take much training once they lose a raft of changes ;)
