Temporary Internet Files Directory

Hello,

My Temporary Internet Files directory contains 4,356 files, 22 folders for
which I can not see. How do I go about viewing and possibly deleting these
files.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael

Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools>Internet Options. You can view the
files by clicking on Settings>View Files. The option to delete the files is
on the General tab.

The chances are that there is nothing worth viewing and worrying about.

I would suggest you get Cleanup! www.cleanup.stevengould.org which will
identify and delete a whole host of rubbish files at one click. You'll be
surprised at the amount of hard disk that will become available!

Regards.

Open Internet Explorer, click Tools menu and select Internet Options. Click
"Delete Files" in the Temporary Internet Files section. Select "Delete all
offline content" and click OK

the "delete all offline content" is the key, without checking that there
will often be lots of stuff left behind.

another way to competely clean out the cache is log on as administrator
and navigate to the user's \documents and settings\USER\Local Settings
folder and toss their folder Temporary Internet Files into the trash. Be
sure to empty the trash too! You can trash the History folder too. Both
will be recreated the next time the user logs in.
