Templates and Backgrounds

I created a template for an hourly time card we use at work. I want to set
all the information I've put in there (grid lines, guide words, etc.) as a
background that will not print. I only want to print the subsequent input and
formulated results. The paper I am printing on is a pre-printed form.

How do I put all this information (as formatted) in the background so I see
it on my screen, but not the printed page?

You could save a picture of the range(SHIFT + Edit>Copy as Picture) before
entering formulas and data.

Save as a *.jpg in Paint...................you will have to play with sizing

Use that as a Format>Sheet>Background. Uncheck show gridlines.

But I wouldn't bother with that scenario.

I would use linking formulas on a second sheet that linked to the cells to
print.

Clear gridlines from that sheet and use it for printing to your pre-printed
form.
