TEMPLATE

I type for an online service - and the individual
companies submit templates to be used for this purpose.
There are times when I am not able to copy the templates -
I have used unprotect but it still does not work. I am
unclear as to whether there is another setting that is
keeping me from inserting this template into my word doc?

Any thoughts.

Clarification: Templates must be saved in that directory. If you save
a template anywhere else, you will not be able to access that template
for creation of a document based on that template.

Am I correct here?

You don't 'insert templates into Word documents' but create Word documents
from templates. To this end the template should be saved in either the user
or workgroup templates folder.

It must be saved there in order to appear in the file > new dialog, but it
does not have to be in that folder in order to be used as a template.
