Template Wizard with Data Tracking - Excel 2007 compatibility

Janice

I just updated from Excel 2003 to 2007 and want to use the Template Wizard
with Data Tracking to build a database. I downloaded it from Microsoft and
installed it but now I can't find it anywhere (including the Add-In list) in
Excel 2007. Is this wizard compatible with 2007? Has it been replaced by
something else?

The Template Wizard with Data Tracking works with 2007.

Have you downloaded the executable from the MS site?

When you run the TMPLWIZ.EXE it does its thing but you can't find the
WZTEMPLT.XLA ?

Same thing happens with Excel 2003.

See this google search thread before proceeding.

To the best of my knowledge the program is not longer supported by Microsoft. You can however, save the files in 2003 format and use the TW that way. It works but is not what I consider the easiest way to work with it.

I am in a state of shock that MS would not continue using this most wonderful add-in and one that is, as far as I am concerned, one of the better creations that ever came out of Microsoft. Shame on those guys for dropping an add-in that really showed how powerful Excel can be with such a great add-in.
