Techsmith Snagit and Vista Ultimate

bob

I have 2 machines (volume license) with identical Vista Ultimate
installations, build 6000

When I run TechSmith SnagIt 8.2.0, the Send E-mail is greyed out on the
other machine while it works on the other and I can't seem to recall making
any permission changes or such

I have to save the captured window region as a .jpg and then attac it
separately to a new message which is the long way around the function
already built-into SnagIt

why not use the snipping tool builtin to vista? it attaches the image to an
email, copies it to the clipboard, AND saves it as a file

Hi Bob,

Have you checked the "Profile settings"? Click on the down-arrow under
"Output" and choose "Properties". Click on the "Program" tab and make sure
your e-mail client is listed there and is configured properly.

Not sure why it wouldn't be there by default...unless you installed your
e-mail client after you installed SnagIt.

umm... maybe because SnagIt removes all the extra steps. the moment you clip an area,
whole window, sound, video, it's attached to an outgoing email

the 'snipping tool' makes you take/perform many extra steps which are not needed with
SnagIt

I didn't have to make any permission changes to make it work
so I doubt it's that.

Do other programs such a Word e-mail OK?
