TCP/IP seems to just stop working after about 6 hours.

This seems to have started happinging after in stalling
pacth KB828028. Since backed it out by the problem remains!

System is Windows 2000 Advanced Server, service pack 2.
Also installed KB823559, KB823980, KB824105, KB84141,
KB84146, KB826119, KB826232, KB828035, KB828749.

What can I do about this? Is there a later culmulative
pacth that hopefully fixed this? I'm afraid I'm not very
impressed with MS patches, they also seem to play havoc
with the way mouse clicks behave.

HELP!

Tell us exactly why you think so and or what indications lead you to this.
Also check Event Viewer for errors.

| HELP!

My internet connection (cable modem) goes down, as does
FTP Explorer (3rd party software I've had for a long time)
and it all gets fixed by reboot.

There are a number of messages in the event log, but
nothing that appears only after the problem appeared.

From a command prompt;
ipconfig /all
before and after may reveal something.

why are you running service pack 2? where do you get your ip address from? it sounds like your dhcp server is only issuing a 6 hr lease
