I described the problem wrong. I'll describe it again.
We have 2 Windows 2000 computers and 2 Windows 98
computers running tcp/ip in peer to peer environment with
a 10mbs hub, one Win2k computer stores all documents in
shared folder for all the computer users. The shared
folder has a total of 32GB of data in it, many sub-
folders and around 16,000 files. Using TCP/IP protocol
only, the 98 Computers access the share folder on the
win2k computer fast in about 5 seconds. However, the
other Win2k computer, after clicking on the Shared
folder, the hour glass comes up and it takes about 1-2
minutes to display the contents. I put netbeui on both
of the Win2k computers also and if TCP/IP is disabled and
Netbeui is used, the contents display quickly. It's only
with the Tcp/ip protocol only is used, that this happens
and only with this shared folder. Is it possible that
this folder had to many subfolders and files in it, and
if so, how come win98 computers access it quickly but the
Win2k can't (with tcp/ip only)
