Taskmanager has changed

Hi, I was having issues with macromedia flash in IE and after finally getting
it working I noticed this last time I went to my windows task manager it has
changed, there is no longer any other windows in the manager to chose other
than the one that opens and that is the one showing the list of all running
processes. The little icon shows up in the task bar next to the clock, but
all I get in the manager itself is the window I had just said, there is no
way to even close the window, anotherwords the close minimize buttons at the
top right are not there, and the tabs to change viewing windows is gone, so I
can't close it, and I can't view other areas like running apps window, and
the one showing the graph . I have to click on taskmanager in the list and
click on "end Process" to close the task manager.
Any ideas??

Ctrl + Tab changes tabs, Alt + F4 exits any application. Double clicking a graph body or a border changes mode.
