i've created a new connection to the internet and i have the two computers in
the task bar that look fine. the other connection that i have is the Local
Area Connnections and that shows the two computers in the task bar but with a
exclamation point in a yellow triangle. is there a way i could remove it
without having to hide it or disconnect from the internet?

The exclamation point in a yellow triangle in your LAN icon indicates
that there is a conflict.
Open control panel>Network Connectons>Righr Click on the said LAN
connection and disable it.Once disabled it won't show in the taskbar.
