This is usually caused by third-party browser add-ons. Disable all Pop-up
blockers if installed any. Here is a detailed note from Don Varnau, MS-MVP
Internet Explorer.

You'd be interested in using my program ToolbarCop to disable the IE add-ons
(that includes browser extensions, toolbars, additional buttons to the
standard toolbar, Browser Helper Objects) selectively, to isolate the

My taskbar won't allow me to run more than one program. If I go into one
program(Internet explorer) and minimize it and then try to open up another
Internet Explorer window, the first one just closes out. I can't get more
than one window on my taskbar.........if someone has a
solution........please
help.........I would gladly appreciate it.
