The Luick Launch icons and application shortcuts have swapped locations
on my taskbar. Usually the Quick Launch display is on the left side,
applications on the right, but now they're reversed. It's annoying. Does
anybody know how to switch them back?

This happened to both my home PC and work PC, I think it has to do with
installing Ad-Aware (or perhaps from running it and removing some junk
it found?)

Thanks

If you are using Windows XP, right click on the taskbar and uncheck "lock
the taskbar", then simply use drag-n-drop to make the things done. (in
Win2K, there is no taskbar locking)

It's Win2K. I can turn the Quick Launch toolbar on and off from the
right-click menu, but it always returns to the same arrangement. Why
would the order of things on the taskbar change?

Same issue here - clean install of Win2K server, taskbar and quicklaunch are
LOCKED! Cannot move or resize!!

Hello!

I don't think this problem is specific to installing any software such as
AdAware. I've seen this happen at my office too (and they don't use
AdAware). It turns out that the toolbar does lock in W2K.

To unlock the toolbar:
1. Right-click in the quick-launch bar.
2. Select "Open Folder". The folder containing the quick-launch icons will
appear.
3. Select "View".
4. Select "Toolbars".
5. Remove the check next to "Lock the Toolbars". You can now drag the
quick-launch bar.
