Taskbar Customization Question

I'm looking into how to further customize my windows XP taskbar and
startmenu. I know you can right click on an empty space and come to some
customizations, but I'm looking more for the options programs like
WindowsBlind and StyleXP offer. Not 'exactly' skinning my taskbar, but I
want to learn how to do that as well. I've scoured the internet looking for
help for.. days now.. Can ANYONE tell me how?

Buy WindowBlinds or StyleXP.

If you are determined to do it yourself I'll give you a hint--You have to
hack uxtheme.dll. Do so at your own risk.
