How do I set up a series of tasks for a specific contact? I have a set of
activities which need to be performed with a new contact each time I enter
them into my pipeline. I would like to assign a task series without having
to type in each series each time I set up a new contact.

What you are describing is a Work flow process and this is not available with
BCM. It is available with the full Microsoft CRM. Contact Management
Programs like ACT have this ability and functions much more closely in
comparison to Microsoft CRM in this regard rather than BCM.

You could write a script in Outlook.

Create the tasks, and set their properties, including setting the
parent property to the new Contact.

You could then add a toolbar button to run the script, or have the
script respond to the new contact event; i.e. adding a new contact to
the Business Contacts folder.

Your more helpful response above reminded me of what goes to the core of my
general frustration with BCM. While a lot of solutions to problems posted
here may exist, they usually require some additional tech / programming know-
how to do something above and beyond to create the ability to do something
rather ordinary. As a very busy end user I usually prefer that a feature is
just already there with easy instructions availiable in a users guide about
how to do something rather than my having to re-write or extensively modify
and manipulate a program. That is not the case however so I lurk here on
occasion so I can be more aware of skillful tech related tips from guys like
yourself.
