task scheduler does not work

I´m having a problem when trying to add or create a
scheduled task using the Task Scheduler proogram built in
Windows 2000.
I go to Scheduled Task, then to Add a new task, then when I
click on the NEXT button on the following screen my PC does
not go to the next screen. It takes forever and I need to
stop the application via Task Manager.

Any advice is very welcomed

What is broken is the New Task wizard. Its hanging when
it enumerates all the known applications it can find
on your system.

To enter a new task into your Mstask GUI
Control Panel\ Scheduled Tasks

its easier to use drag and drop if you are
going to fire a VBScript or BAT file. You can
also use the [right_click - New] menu item when
you are in Explorer pointing to the TS folder.
