Task Scheduler Could not Start

Steve

Hi,

I have a Win2000 DC which Task Scheduler won't work. All tasks show Coul not
start and result 0x0. I have 2 other Win2000 server (1 DC and 1 Server)
which run scheduled tasks properly. The 3 servers have been configured the
same way. I found articles about the run as account and others things but it
doesn't work. Where else can I check to find out what is wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Steve,
We are having the same problem, although it is on a
workstation not a server; what seems to happen is the job
will not start from Task Scheduler. If we go into the job
properties, and reset the password, then the job will run
succesfully once. Then we get the "job could not start"
error the next time it is supposed to run. Unfortunately,
I do not have a fix, but maybe my comments will help us
find a solution.

Thank you,
Ann Largent

If your tasks cannot start then this could be because of:

a) Invalid account/password details for this task. Try
a different account.
b) Restrictive NTFS permissions in the c:\winnt\system32
folder.

I too have this problem, but I don't understand what you are suggesting to
solve it.
Thanks
