Task Pane will not display by default when Wood 2002 opens.

The Task Pane will not display by default when Microsoft Word 2002 opens.



I have gone to Tools>Options and under Show I have checked Startup Task
Pane. This does not cause the Task Pane to display by default when
Microsoft Word 2002 opens.



I have also gone to Tools>Customize>Toolbars to see if there was an option
there for displaying the Task Pane on startup. There is not. Isn't there
supposed to be such an option here?



At any rate, I cannot get Microsoft Word 2002 to display the Task Pane when
it opens.



What can I do to correct this problem.
