My Task Manager function has been disabled by my system
administrator? (when clicking ctrl+alt+del and also right
clicking on taskbar). I am running Xp Home and I am the
only user.Any idea how to enable this??? I have tried
running gpedit.msc but PC can't locate that file. (xp Pro
only?)

You're right gpedit is only available in Pro Edition

To enable the taskmanager via the registry editor:
There is a registry hack to enable or disable Windows NT TaskManager.
The same registry hack applies to Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies \System
Name: DisableTaskMgr
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1= Enable this key, that is Disable TaskManager
Value: 0= Disable this key, that is Enable TaskManager

Or go to this page and download the REG fix and double click to add it
to the registry.

Hope this helps.
