Task Manager Issue

When I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del my option to run task manager has
been "grayed" out, also I am unable to change file
associations, Cany anyone help

I am having the same problem - there have been some
responses to my post by way of possible explanations (see
No task manager sep 2 4:05pm).

If you have fixed the problem, could you please post a
