task folder error messages

I am getting a bunch of error message in Outlook 2007 running on an XP machine.
When I first start up outlook 2007, I get a little balloon message that says
“There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders
may not appearâ€
Then, on the outlook today screen, where all my tasks normally are displayed
on the lower left, instead of seeing the flags and reminders I see “The
operation failed. An object could not be foundâ€
If I hit the tasks button I get this message “Can not display the folderâ€
I assume that the tasks folder is corrupt. I ran the SCANPST utility and it
shows no errors.
How can I fix this?
I also get another error when I archive. It says that I have errors and they
are reported in my deleted items folder. I open it up and here is the error:
Error while archiving folder "pts" in store "Personal Folders". A folder by
this name already exists.
Error while archiving folder "pts" in store "Personal Folders". A folder by
this name already exists.
It says the same thing twice.
I check and there is only one folder that says PTS.
How do I fix?

Thank you for the reply.
I tried the suggestion, but I'm still getting the same error. Do you think
I should reinstall the program?
I'm syncing Outlook with my phone, and all my tasks are there on my phone.
They just won't show up on the Outlook main page with the emails, calendar,
etc... on the right-hand side bottom or below the calendar when I change the
view.

Thanks!
