At times my task bar has doubled in size i.e. two
horizontal line dep instead of one. What can cause this
but more importantly how do I get it back to a single
line (in the past I have done a system restore?.

but more importantly how do I get it back to a single
line (in the past I have done a system restore?.

Just grab the upper border with the mouse and drag it down to where
you want it.

But first right-click the taskbar and unlock it.
