In Windows 2000 professional, when a program becomes
active, it flashes on and off in a blue colour because it
wants to focus on it. Where abouts in the operating
system can you turn off this property ?

thanks.

Set the The D_Word value
"ForegroundFlashCount"
to zero found at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Thanks, tried that, but doesn't seem to work for MSN
Messenger, which is the program I mainly want to stop from
doing it. Messenger seems to cause to flash eternally
until you give focus to it.

I think so, I saw for MSN in the registry, and entry
for 'warning msg count', but I don't think this is it
anyway.
