Taking care any keyboard - Need suggestions

After a while on typing on the keyboard, you fingers have a little finger
tip oil that gets on the keys on the keyboard. I make a point to wash my
hands before getting into my Computer, but to avail your fingers sweat out a
little oil.

But the last two years or so, I have replaced my keyboard twice because a
few letters start to fade out.

I wish they had a keyboard with letters that never fade despite a oily
fingers.

Any suggestions?

Brainstorming ideas:

* Buy a good, famous-brand keyboard such as Microsoft / HP / Compaq / IBM.
They are usually more expensive but they last.
* Learn touch-typing so you don't need to see the characters printed on the
keys.
* Use a small piece of sticky tape to cover the character(s) printed on each
key. Replace these bits of sticky tape once in a while to preserve their
effectiveness.

Considerations:

* The cost of the soap used may be more expensive than replacing the
keyboard so a cost analysis is called for here before a decision can be
made.
* Physiologically, washing reduces the impact on the ink but dynamically,
the friction created by the fingers hitting the keys repeatedly will wear
the ink out, anyway (the car tyres will not last forever and the keyboards
shouldn't, either)

Sorry, just different ideas since this newsgroup is devoted to Microsoft
Access, a database application, not general computer "access".
