tables... basic question

I'm new to front page and to building web pages. I've figured out how to
create tables of the appropriate size and to populate them. I've learned how
to create text boxes and to populate them and move them around.

However, I don't seem to be able to drag and drop a table i've created in
FP2002. I've brought a page i created in Yahoo Site Builder into FP. It has
tables and i can drag and drop them anywhere on the page. However, i can't
do the same with a table i create in fp 2002.

thanks for help in advance,

gp

Text boxes should be avoided on web sites. They only display correctly
in Internet Explorer running on Windows, and then only if the browser is
opened to the same size (or bigger) as your design. See
http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/vml-graphics.htm for other reasons
why VML (VML includes WordArt, textboxes, shapeart) should be avoided.

Dragging tables is also something to avoid since this uses absolute
positioning. This also requires the visitors browser to be open to a
minimum size, and requires that browser to use the same text size as you
suggest or text will overlap images and images will obscure text (you
CANNOT control what text size your visitors actually use - they will
change it to suit their eye sight).

Use a table to layout your page. It does not need to be dragged around.
You can place additional tables (not too many) in cells in the layout
table.
