Table of Contents

I am trying to create a table of contents. The original document was created
in Word Perfect then was imported into Word. I have marked the paragraph
heads that I need in the TOC as level one on the outlining Toolbar then went
into "Insert" "Reference" "TOC" "Options" and marked "Table entry fields".
All I get when I go to create the TOC is Error! No table of contents entries
found. (Except that it shows as (TOC\f\h\z). Any ideas on what I am doing
wrong?

You would only select the Table Entry fields option if you had actually
created TC fields (which you didn't). Try ignoring the Options dialog
entirely and see what happens--normally Word should pull anything with
outline levels assigned. Use the "show levels" option in the main TOC
dialog instead.
