Table Names Disappear

On a users PC, there are table links between MDB1 (holds most db objects) and
MDB 2 (holds the table objects). The Users PC will not allow me to see the
existing tables using their Access 2002 when going directly to MDB 2. But
when I open MDB 1 on their PC I can see, read and update the linked tables.
No matter where I put the MDB 2 database, I cannot open the database directly
and see the tables. If I try to link them by going to "Get external data"
the table names do not show. If I try to import the tables from MDB 2, the
table names do not show. However, I copied the two database files to my PC
and can see tables and create table links between the two database files on
my PC with no problem. User has Access 2002. I have Access 2002 with Serv
Pack 3. The links were established somehow originally on the users PC. If I
create a new test table in the MDB 2 database, I can link it. But the other
table names don't show. Any ideas as to the problem. How can I get the MDB
2 table names to show up when attempting to link MDB 2 tables to MDB 1 from
inside MDB 1? Is this a service pack issue?

Before you link to their db...

from the main database window:

Tools, Options

View tab

check Hidden objects

if that doesn't make them show, also check System Objects
