\t identifier in TC field

I have the desire to enter text for a page number in a TC field.
Specifically, I don't have pages numbered in my Appendices, but I want to
list the figures that show up in the Appendices (as Appendix ##) in a Table
of Figures...

Anyone have some info?

Thanks!!

You can add the \n switch to the TC field code; this suppresses the
numbering for that entry in the TOF.

This depends on what type of text you want to add. If you can include
it in the TC field, along with a tab character, then it would work:

{ TC "Display text<tab>More text" \l 1 \f \n }

The example above uses typed text (the "more text" part), but there is
no reason why you couldn't include, say, a cross-reference to the
appendix number, if that is what you want.

Make sure to set the appropriate tab stop(s) for the TOC styles and
then add the \w switch (which preserves tab characters) to the TOC
field code. For more on TOC field switches, see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/TOCSwitches.htm.
