Systray Icons

Just a small problem with XP Pro.

When I hover the mouse over the Icons in the System Tray I cannot see what
they are as the balloons or whatever there are called are hidden behind the
taskbar.

This corrects with a reboot and stays OK for a while until it occurs again.

Does anyone have a solution to this little annoyance please?

No, that's not the one - that's when the icons themselves go awry.

Afaik there isn't a reliable fix for the 'balloons pop up behind the
taskbar' bug (yet). Making the taskbar hidden, or auto hide, or
generally fiddling around with it usually fixes the problem eventually,
but there seems to be no rhyme nor reason to it.

Thank you both for your replies, it just looks like it's another one of them
things we have to live with eh.

I did find that when this occurs, that if I right click and select
Properties and then uncheck ' show the clock' and then recheck it, that
seems to overcome the problem, but for how long. who knows??
