Systeme Restore has been turned off by group policy

Dear All,
My System Restore tab has disappeared from My Computer properties following
a worm infection (that I have successfully removed). Despite several advices
received from MS forums I am still unable to get it back. I also noticed,
when trying to access to the boot services by running
msconfig, when clicking on "launch system restore", the message I get is
"Systeme Restore has been turned off by group policy. TO turn on system
restore contact your domain administrator"
Anyone has an idea how to get this problem fixed?

XP pro ?
type gpedit.msc from the RUN box.
Navigate to computer config/admin template/
system/system restore

Check the two policy items in the right pane.

Is this a networked or standalone computer? Is it Windows XP Home
Edition or Windows XP Professional?

Hope this helps.
