System Tray

I have a two part question:
(1) Upon boot up, I always have a Safley Remove Icon appearing in my system tray.
I don't it there, is there any way to stop it from always appearing after boot-up.
It only recently started appearing for no reason.

(2) This one is my major question, Is there anyway to get the icons in the system tray to appear in a specific order.
I.E. Messenger would be closest to the clock, then beside that would be my Antivirus, followed by my Firewall etc.
Upon boot up, the icons never seem to come in or load in the same order.
I am looking for a consistant setup, where all icons are always in thier exact place and in order.

Hi Steven,

1. If you have an USB device attached to your system, you will notice an
icon in the Notification area, which - when clicked - will give you the
option to Stop your hardware, before you unplug it.

It is possible that you never unplug this hardware. So how do you get rid of
the icon? Right-click the notification area, and selecting Properties. Under
the Notification area heading, click Customize. Find the Safely Remove
Hardware icon and select Always hide in the Behavior column next to it
(press OK and Apply to back out).

2. They are listed in the order they are started. You can control this via
the Startup up folder by labeling them in numeric form.
