System tray clock

We use payroll software that allows our associates to "punch in" at any
computer in the network. It uses the system clock to record the punch time.
Some associates have found that they can manipulate the time by clicking on
and changing the clock in they system tray. I know that we can choose not to
display the clock, but that is not a fix. Is there any way to prevent change
of the clock (other than automatic synch with internet clock)?

What operating system is on the computer? Also is it a peer to peer network
or is it on a domain?

Hi

For WinXP Pro and Win2k:

Start/Run --> gpedit.msc

Go to
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings
\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment\

Double click on "Change the system time"

Remove the Administrators and Power Users groups.

Log off and on to see the effect.
