I am running Windows XP Home Edition, Svc. Pack 2. There
are 4 users accounts. If there are 2 users logged in and a
3rd user account tries to login, the system kicks back the
welcome screen. When the 2nd user logs off, the system
stops responding with the message 'saving your
settings...' The machine has to be manually powered off by
holding the power button for 10 seconds. There is a hotfix
for this (article 328934), which is installed since it was
included with Svc. Pack 2. But it didn't resolve the
issue. I have changed the way users log on so that fast
switch is not available and I also changed it so if there
is no activity within x timefream, then the user is logged
off. Does any one have any other suggestions as to how to
resolve this?
Thanks so much,
