System sound oddity in one XP Pro SP2 machine

We noticed that one desktop does not play the Windows Start Up and Windows
Exit sound when the Administrator logs in. These system sounds do play
whenever any other user logs in!
Every other system sounds play when they should, irrespective of user, and
there is no problems with any audio hardware. All Sound Devices and Sounds
settings in Control Panel appear identical to all users.
Applied the restore-sounds tweaks at Kelly's Korner while logged in as
Administrator. No joy.
Does not affect anything in the slightest - just an interesting oddity.
No problems on any of the other machines here.

Hi,

Go to the Control Panel/Sound and Audio/Sounds Tab/Start Windows/None. If
this is set to none, change it.
