Blaster worm is suspect.

Search http://google.com for that term or search this group for "rpc" or
"remote". You will see dozens of tips, pointers and links to the fix.

Thanks, but it didnt work, i downloaded the script but
said i didnt have the worm on my system

I think I may have a similar problem.

The message I receive says it was initiated by NT
Autority System.

The entire message is:

Windows must restart because the Remote Procedure call
(RPC)service was terminated unexpectedly.

Is this part of your error message? I am using a D-link
router and wireless card to access the internet. I
updated the drivers on Wednesday but haven't had any
issue until yesterday.

I am not sure if this is related to the wireless router
or not

YES, thats the same message i get i cant figure out whats
wrong, people are telling me its a virus but my sysyem
cannot detect one?

control panel> adim. tools> compoent Svcs.> Services> find
the RPC, rt click, properties, on the receovery Tab, First
failure "restart the service" or "take no action"
