system restore

i have tried to do a system restore 4 times and every time i pick a diffrent
date i restart computer so system restore will do its job but it keeps
telling me my computer cannot be restored to this date

I used the instructions referenced in Leonard's message and it worked
fine.... until the restore process was complete. Then when I went to turn
Norton back on, it would not even start.
