System Restore

I had a software issue with Verizon and the tech had me do a hard reset on my
PDA (Treo 650). And he the had me do a hot sync, but he did not have me
change the computer to desktop overrides the PDA, so hence when the empty PDA
over rode the desktop, it erased all of my PDA data. I tried the System
REstore Wizard, and it did say that I completed the job. But , when I went
to look for my data on my PDA desktop icon, there was nothing there. HELP
PLEASE

System restore is for system files, not data files. You'll need to restore
the PDA data from whatever backup you normally create. If you don't have a
backup stop using the system now (and of course ask yourself why you don't
have a backup). The more you use it the greater the chance that the deleted
data will be overwritten and the less the chance it can be recovered.

The best way to approach this is to slave the current drive in another
computer and image that drive, using something like Acronis True Image Home
version 10 so you can preserve it's current state, then attempt data
recovery.

Download and try some of these data recovery tools. Download from another
computer and run them from floppy
or a flash drive, to minimize writes to your drive.

There is other more expensive data recovery software, and if you really need
the data and don't care about the cost there are data recovery companies.
These are very expensive.

Always have a full and complete backup.
