System Restore

Will system restore solve an issue with trojan, worm or malware virus. I.E.,
If a worm or virus was downloaded today, would I be able to use system
restore to turn back to yesterday and resolve issue. Thank you in advance
for your help.

Hi Larry,

If the Trojan consisted of nothing but monitored file types, than it might.

The best approach would be to remove the virus, restore the system to a time
before the infection. Then perform another virus scan to make sure it's gone.

After the infections has been completely removed, create a new restore point.
Then run disk cleanup with the System Restore option to remove all but the most
recent restore point. This will prevent the system from being re-infected by
restoring in the future.
