System Restore

I inadvertantly restored some empty files to a motel front desk program. My
question is if I use Windows System restore from an earlier time point. will
it restore all data files?

Nope, Windows System Restore doesn't play with your program or data
files. You would need to restore those from your backup.

No, it will restore none of them. System Restore is not meant to be a
general-purpose backup program and restores the operating system only. It's
a tool for reverting the operating system back to the state it was in
yesterday or a few days ago, as a quick way to get you out of trouble if a
change you made goes awry. It does nothing for your data files.

No. You will need to restore from your backup. (If you don't have a
backup...ouch...you should probably go get an external hard drive and start
making daily backups for a system like that)
