I get many system restore check points from WD. Steve Dodson suggested to
create a new registry key to disable this from happening. I tried to do that.
But the registry window,HKLM/software/microsoft/windows defender/scan window
will NOT allow me to create new key. I get registry error message. May be I
am not doing it right. Will SteveDodson/Bill Sanderson please tell me how to
do this. detailed steps please

I posted a detailed step by step for this just yesterday--let me see if I
can find it:

It is possible to stop this activity, but it takes some care and registry
editing.
