System Restore

I am using Windows XP (Home) SP2.
When System Restore points are set (ort I add them manually) the next day
when I boot up I find all the points have disappeared.
I have ample Disk space and I have disabled System Restore re-booted and
enable system restore. But still am unable to retain System Restore
points.Can anyone please advise.

I suggest you search the 'microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support@ NG
where this subject has been discussed ad nauseum.

You may have a problem that can be simply fixed by the advice given in the
response to your post or found by searching the 'help-and-support' group, on
the other hand, if you are unlucky you may have a similar problem to me.

If you go to Start-Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Event Viewer and look
for entries with 'SR' you may find a clue to the problem. If you find an
'SR' entry that states you have insufficient disk space. Event ID 107 I
believe, followed by an entry stating sufficiet space now exists Event ID
108 I believe, you may have the same problem as me, always assuming you do
have adequate space allocated for System Restore. If you do have a similar
problem to me, then to date no solution appears to exist.
