system restore won't start

get this message that system restore is not able to start
and this required file does not exist, what do i do?:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

Hi

Try this:

Start>Run - then type in "services.msc" - without the quotes. Scroll down the list until you see 'System Restore Service'. Make sure that the Service has been started - if not right click on it and select 'Start'. Then have a look in the 'Startup Type' column - it should be set to 'Automatic - if it isn't right click on it and select Properties - then make sure that the 'Startup Type:' drop down menu is set to 'Automatic'. You will have to restart your system for the latter change to take effect.
